My Opinion on 'Emergency Radio Operators'

Emergency radio is an important service that can help people in distress.
However, it is crucial to understand that emergency radio is not a hobby or a game.

It's about the lives of humans and animals!

There are some hobby radio operators who have naive and romantic thinking and completely ignore reality.
They believe that they can help in an emergency simply by turning on their radio equipment
and utilizing their 'skills' as radio operators. However, this is dangerous and can have catastrophic consequences.

When an emergency occurs, the authorities and official emergency services must be notified.
These organizations have specially trained personnel and are equipped with the necessary resources
to help effectively. Hobby radio operators are not official emergency services and should not attempt to offer their help
unless they are requested to do so by the authorities.

There are many reasons why hobby radio operators should not intervene in emergencies;
for one, they could miss important information or pass on inaccurate information,
which could lead to incorrect decisions by the rescue forces. Furthermore, they could disrupt communication
that is crucial for the official emergency services.
They could also put themselves in danger or put others at risk if they attempt to enter
dangerous situations to provide assistance.

Therefore, it is important that anyone who owns a radio device has the responsibility to use it responsibly
and understands the importance of emergency radio. It should not be regarded as a game or hobby,
but as an important connection to the official emergency services in emergencies.

Overall, it is essential that everyone understands that emergency radio is not a hobby or a game.
It's about the lives of people,
and only official emergency services should be deployed in emergencies.
Hobby radio operators should understand the importance of emergency radio
and ensure that they act responsibly to avoid endangering lives.

Moreover, it is troubling that more and more "preppers," conspiracy theorists,
and Reich citizens may want to operate emergency radio even illegally. The term
"justified emergency" is often thrown around. Or also "Legal, Illegal, Whatever."
As an amateur radio operator, I once found the topic of emergency radio very important.
But after doing a bit of reading in various radio forums, I have lost a lot of interest.

One does not really want to have anything to do with this clientele.
